Hello, we’re a small homebrew BL light novel translation group. Our translations are for those who are here for the story. For words that flow off the page instead of those that are manufactured. For those who seek the spark of life and love in the prose, instead of feasting on the low-hanging fruit. We will not have a Patreon. We will not have ads. We do this for fun, and we won’t let anyone else ruin that for us.

What’s With The Name?

We branched off from a bigger translation group. When translating the word “不誠実” for Violant of the Silver, our three-person team decided untruthfulness was too clunky as a word. We workshopped different words such as “perfidy” before we finally chose “mendacity” and then posted it. The three of us were the only ones who had ever touched our projects. However, the group lambasted our team, saying that mendacity was too complicated of a word and that our work belonged to the group, so we did not have creative freedom. We didn’t like that, so we left and started our group.
